Purulia Polytechnic was established in the year 1956 in the District of Purulia. Initially three courses namely Civil Engg., Electrical Engg., Mechanical Engg.; were introduced, later Electronics & Tele comm. Engg. & Metallurgical Engg. has been introduced from the year 1996 & 2009.
