This Women’s Polytechnic was incepted during 1984 with a view to empower the women in the field of Technical Education. This is the unique women polytechnic in this district of Visakhapatnam. Initially started with two courses only i.e. DCCP & DECE in temporary buildings. Later shifted to the existing, the then new building and was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister on 07-04-1990. Subsequently another two courses i.e. DCME and DCE were introduced during 1998 and 2008 as per the rising demand
