The institute has started its journey on and from 27.01.1969 with the name “Engineering Institute For Junior Executives ” for the purpose of “ Training of Technicians ( Foreman ) ” as per the then need of industry under the team of enthusiastic members comprising founder Principal , Mr. Bhabani Prasad Sanyal and few staff members and few part time faculty . The course was of four years duration ( called Sandwitch Pattern ) L.M.E. ( Licenciate Mechanical Engineering ) with annual intake capacity
