As per the directives of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, University Institute of Technology, Shahdol, a constituent college of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal was established in 2015. The institution presently offers under graduate programme in Mining Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 60 students each.
