Govt. Polytechnic College, Amritsar is the biggest, oldest Institute and have professional, well qualified and highly experienced faculty.This Polytechnic has been awarded the title as a Center of Exellence. The Institute was started in 1965 with two branches of engineering i.e Mechanical Engg.& Electrical Engg. Later on Civil Engg., Production Engg.& Computer Engg. had been started. Institute is also running Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy.
