Brief History of Institution Earlier this institute was named as Industrial School after independence. Main building was constructed in 1947 and foundation stone was laid on 17 November 1947 by Mr.Ganapat Devji Tapse. It was named as Government Polytechnic in 1963 with 3 branches namely-Civil, Electrical and Mechanical. New building was constructed during 1971-1972.
