Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA) is set-up jointly by Govt. of India and textile industry in 1974 on a 50 acre land at Ghaziabad near national capital New Delhi. It is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Xxl of 1860). NITRA is the only ISO 9001:2015 accredited premier textile research association in the country.
