Computer Aided Analysis (CAA) is the term applied to the analysis and optimisation components of the design process, which create a complete design package, along with computer-aided design and computer-integrated manufacturing. Including lower lead times, higher and practical methods, and decreased production costs, the importance of implementing these techniques with computer aids are enormous. CAD software designs help protect businesses and inventions when utilised in patent applications. Often CAD output is in the area of digital printing, processing or other production files.

WHAT IS COMPUTER AIDED ANALYSIS AND DESIGN?

Computer-assisted design (CAD) is to do with computers (or workstations) to help create, modify, analyse or optimise a design. Computer software should be used to increase the designer's efficiency, improve design quality, improve communication through documentation, and develop a manufacturing database. Its use in electronic systems design is referred to as automation of electronic format (EDA). In mechanical design, it is called robotic design automation (MDA) or CAD, which involves making a technical drawing using computer software.  The mechanical design CAD software employs potentially vector-based graphics to portray typical drafting items or produce raster visuals that show the outward look of developed things. It comprises more than just forms, however. As with manual drawing of technical and engineering drawings, the output of CAD shall be based on application-specific conventions to transmit data such as materials, methods, size and tolerances. CAD can be used to design two-dimensional (2D) space curves and figures or three-dimensional (3D) curves, surfaces and solids.  CAD is an influential industrial art widely using in various applications, such as industrial, aerospace automotive, shipbuilding and architectural design, prosthetics and more. CAD is also commonly used for computer animation, also called DCC digital content development, for special effects in movies, publicity and technical guides. Computers' present ubiquity and capability mean that even perfume and shampoo dispensers were built by engineers in the 1960s utilising unprecedented techniques. CAD has been a significant driver for study in computational geometry, computer graphics (hardware and software) and geometrics because of its immense economic significance.
