ENERGY SYSTEMS AND MANAGEMENT

  • 2 Colleges

With this course on the energy systems and management, students will use their previous skills and know-how to improve renewable energy and power generation efficiency.

ABOUT ENERGY SYSTEMS AND MANAGEMENT

The energy industry needs the next generation of experts urgently to deliver better energy management and help reduce our environmental impact.

With this course on energy systems and management, students will use their previous skills and know-how to improve renewable energy and power generation efficiency. Their abilities are up-to-date, and they learn advanced concepts about how power systems and networks are operated, controlled, designed, managed and regulated.

Whether you're a graduate or a professional in sustainable electricity and energy generation, you'll be able to pursue an advanced career in energy systems and management as an engineer after completing your studies. Students have a lot of career options after the completion of this course.

WHAT IS ENERGY SYSTEMS AND MANAGEMENT?

The curriculum is well designed in which theoretical as well as practical aspects, are included. The students will learn about Electrical Systems, Electrical Machines, Smart Grid Basics, Sensors and Measuring Systems, Engineering Management, Economics and Risks Analysis, Renewable and Alternative Energy Systems. They can develop their operating, controlling, designing, controlling and managing future systems and networks. Students will use computing tools to understand the design, networks and regulatory framework of sustainable electrical power systems. They will evaluate and bring their technical and non-technical knowledge together to solve the complex nature of their methodologies, analytical processes and research methods for energy management and power systems. You will learn about energy systems and management in a challenging and stimulating environment.

The system of energy and management is a process that makes effective and sustainable use of all forms of energy. This is a branch of science involving planning to reduce energy production costs while still generating sufficient energy to satisfy consumers' demands. Management of energy is a step towards reducing global warming, carbon footprint and emissions of greenhouse gas. It not only helps reduce production costs but also helps the company produce better quality energy.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN ENERGY SYSTEMS AND MANAGEMENT

For UG, students in Class 12 must have achieved a science stream of 60%. For PG, BTech/ BSc from a recognised university must have been admitted to the energy systems and management system. Applicants must have a minimum total of 50 per cent completed their degree. Some entry tests are conducted for the same in foreign countries. The lack is growing in the energy systems and management sector, which gives you a good starting point for success. This course is an opportunity for you to update your knowledge of current design practice and learn developments in codes and methods of analysis if you have already been a practical engineer with professional experience. In a study published in 2011 by the United States Energy Information Administration, "21% of world energy consumption was in China and India in 2008. By 2035, both countries will make up 31% of global energy use."

It is important to maximise energy use to save the degrading world and economy by increasing energy consumption. Energy management reduces pollution or climate change and has a broad impact on every country's economies by saving millions. Hence the demand for such graduates is likely to increase in the coming future in developing countries.
