As the name suggests, this course deals with managing the environment and reducing the number of pollutants in the background. This course comes under Chemical Engineering and is concerned with reducing the waste present in the scene, controlling pollution in water, soil, and air, thus creating effective environmental management systems. The course is excellent in offering data and techniques to protect the ecology, conserve natural habitats, and reduce disasters. Students also learn from biology, botany, climatology, ecology, ecological economics, environmental engineering to support their findings in this course. This course is beneficial for students as the essential fields where they will work with the government in matters of environment, agriculture, water and technology, forests, etc. Students will also be able to find employment in media houses and colleges. State and central pollution boards will also become good employers for these students. Graduates can also find various Pvt sector jobs in the chemical, manufacturing, and textile industries. What is Environmental Management?

As said previously, environmental management is a course that aims to improve the state of the environment by interaction with human activities. In this course, colleges will teach the students about various activities causing environmental pollution, search for solutions, and work on them to find a breakthrough in the climate crisis the world is suffering from. Problems will include deforestation, soil erosion, landfills, water contamination, oil spills, etc. This course will also help the students know the role human activities play and will play in the future for the environment. This course will be highly beneficial in teaching the students the need for the environment and what can be done to improve its quality. This course will equip the students with various skills for their future careers. For example, the students must develop an interest in understanding environmental issues, the govt made regulations around them, and renewable energy sources. This course will be aiming to teach students in that respect. Students will also be developed in the realm of communication and persuasion skills to relay their findings and ideas in their jobs. Being a good leader in this field is very important if students lead teams. Hence, leadership skills among the students are critical. Students will also develop their organization and team management skills, among others. Students will be taught about Environmental Chemistry, microbiology, water treatment, and air pollution control for the first semester. Eligibility and Career in Environmental Management

This course is a 2-year course available only at Post Graduate level. Students who have passed Undergraduate in relevant subjects of Chemical Engineering with 60% as aggregate can take this course. Students are also required to pass out entrance exams for their course.
