Heat Power Engineering is a core engineering discipline. Heat energy is the reason for most of the power absorbing and power-producing devices. This program helps to Participation in project design, leading events identified with testing new or non-standard heat-mass exchange equipment and its execution and implementation and furthermore working at standardization of engineering equipment, facilities, and materials.

Heat Power Engineering

Heat Power is a postgraduate Power System Engineering program. This program serves to ponder the standards of mechanics, materials and energy to design and manufacture machines and gadgets of various kinds. Subjects completed this course are Mechanical vibrations, manufacturing processes, Mechatronics, Tool Engineering and Design, Heat and Mass Transfer, Design of machine elements, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Robotics.

The course concentrates on the subject, for example, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, energy economy, energy-saving policies and means, Environmental legislation, environmental preservation that are the important line of Energetic and Thermal engineering. Every single part of heat generation and heat removal in an electronics system is dealt with the thermal engineers.

How to Join

One who wants to join Applied Geology should pass the qualifying examination with an aggregate score of 55% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. After completing the same, the student has to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE - Main) to get admission into one of the top colleges or universities in India.

Most of the engineering colleges in India offer admission to students based on the JEE Main examination. It is a national level entrance examination done by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India.

Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) is the national level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate courses by the IITs and IISc in India. Admission to these institutions is offered based on the score secured in GATE by the candidate.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the national level apex authority responsible for the regulation and control of all engineering colleges and courses available in India. AICTE is the statutory authority responsible for proper planning and coordination on the development of the technical education system in India.

Career Prospects

After successful completion of this course, candidates can look for career opportunities in various areas such as space research organization, Nuclear Power Station, Engineering Equipment Industries, Thermal Power Stations, Pollution control Agencies, Oil Exploration and Refining, Energy Conservation Department etc.

There are numerous job opportunities available for the Heat Power engineering candidates. Applicants having a postgraduate degree in Heat Power Engineering have the wide variety of career opportunity in a teaching field and hydro-electric power plant and in thermal plants; the applicants who successfully finished this program also find work in Industries or Companies who manufacture Refrigerators, heat exchangers, A.C.s etc.
