ABOUT CONSTRUCTION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

This master's degree program in construction and project management enables students to acquire professional skills of leadership in the construction-related project by providing the knowledge of both from the aspect of people related and technology-related. This discipline deals with theoretical and conceptual aspects of construction project management. It focuses more on the practical side of this discipline, such as resource management, stakeholder management, project control mechanics, budgeting & cost management, contract management, IT application & information management, and so on.

This course provides an opportunity to students that help them to engage with crucial and growing issues in the construction industry. It also prepares students to face the demanding and electrifying environment of present-day civil engineering and construction projects. 

WHAT IS A CONSTRUCTION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT COURSE?

If you have completed your bachelor's program as a civil engineer, planner, commercial manager, architecture, environmental engineer, M&E engineer, lawyer, archaeologist, or any other field related to construction. In that case, you are eligible to apply for this course. This course is designed with a primary concentration on project management. It enables students to take their careers forward in the construction sector and any industry.

Construction and project management course is designed under specific titles such as management of projects, risk management, people & organization, project management research methods, project planning & control, MoP dissertation, construction project management professional practice, environmental assessments, finance for infrastructure project with conflict management and dispute resolution.   

Students understand project management from conception to fruition and the execution of construction projects during this course despite the size, budget, and complexity. Students engage with production planning & managing the site efficiently, and conduction of bottom-up estimation and the safety & quality management process. In this course, students will be mastering the process of planning & scheduling, contracting & bidding process, efficient management of time, and cost & budget management of a project.

After completing the course, students will master management and lead a company to success & prosperity with more knowledge and confidence.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT COURSE

This is a full-time post-graduation program of two years and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The applicant should have a bachelor's degree in engineering and technology or pharmacy or architecture with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Applicants need to have a non-zero positive score in GATE & GPAT conducted by AICTE to take admission in this course.

Minimum of two-year full-time experience in a registered company, firm & organization, or research in a relevant field is required for sponsoring candidates.

After successful completion of this course candidate will be eligible to apply for site engineer, facility manager, building surveyor, building service engineer, sustainability consultant in any relevant company. Students can use any central design, project management, and construction consultant for a construction manager anywhere in the world. Students who have qualified in the construction and project management field may have a great opportunity in countries like India & Canada since these countries are more focused on developing heavy infrastructure in the coming years.
