The Renewable Energy Engineering and Management program trains students in both academic and practical aspects of renewable energy technologies and management.

About Renewable Energy Engineering and Management

The Renewable Energy Engineering and Management program trains students in both academic and practical aspects of renewable energy technologies and management. The curriculum is designed to prepare students to solve real-world design and development problems and conduct academic research. Core and elective courses are taught during the first, second, and third semesters of the program. Students must complete a significant project in the final semester, either in an industrial setting or at a research/consulting group dealing with renewable energy. The Master of Technology in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management program usually lasts two academic years. However, it can vary from university to institute, and some institutes offer part-time programs. They can pursue teaching careers part-time. After passing specific requirements, such as the NET test, they are qualified to work as permanent lecturers at all colleges and universities. They may also work for companies that manufacture drilling equipment, supplies, and refinement methods. They can also pursue higher education in research-related fields.

What is Renewable Energy Engineering and Management?

Climate change, finite resource availability, and pollution are among the most pressing concerns confronting our society today and in the future. Renewable energy resources can help solve some of these issues, but developing, planning, installing, and operating renewable energy technology requires a highly qualified workforce. The REM initiative aims to bridge the strategic gap between renewable energy's technological components and policy drivers for long-term development. Students will learn technical and operational specifics and the policy background, market mechanisms, and business models for renewable energy technologies and installations in this manner. The coursework in the program is tailored to match the competencies needed for a prospective international job market in renewable energy engineering and management. PM program track graduates will develop renewable energy projects and facilities while considering economic, political, and societal considerations. The curriculum is tailored to provide students with unique job opportunities in planning, engineering, consulting, and investment in renewable energy technology and installations.
