ABOUT COMPUTER AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

The computer and communication engineering (CCE) course is designed to develop fundamental competency in communication engineering. And divergent administration exposes different sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), embedded computing, spanning signal technology, internet of thing (IoT), and computer architecture. B Tech in CCE program introduces all features of electronic and computer science with more focus on communication engineering. This program imparts deep knowledge of internet networking and broadband communication.

Like many other engineering branches, it is also based on advanced computation and mathematics. But it has mainly focused on computer programming and architecture. In this course, students can learn from lower layers of communication systems like characteristics properties of cables and propagation with antennas, digital reformation of signals to the upper layer of communication engineerings like computer software systems, computer networking and operating system.

WHAT IS COMPUTER AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING?

BTech in computer and communication engineering course is designed to address the burgeoning demand of new breed engineers, who have requisite knowledge and skills in both aspects such as telecommunication and computer engineering. CCE program helps students manage the emerging industry challenges like rapid concurrence in telecommunication and information systems due to digital evolution and industry 4.0.

Under this program, the student gets to study digital signal processing, chip systems in computers, technical information of digital control, internet of things (IoT), micro-controller, communication protocols, sensor networking system, architecture in broadband and wireless communication with data science, cloud computing, encryption and decryption of information, edge computing and AI & machine intelligence. After successfully completing this course, students specialise in different fields like robotics, data science, cyber security, and so on.

It is comprised of two courses altogether, such as professional core and an elective course in CCE. Professional core course includes fundamental subject matter such as communication network, integrated electronics, coding & information theory etc. In contrast, the elective course involves advanced subjects like power electronics, radar engineering, optical network theory, etc. This course prepares students to be able to plan, design, execute and maintain a reliable and secured network of information systems. They will know how to use the latest version of integrated and network technology for the complicated enterprise atmosphere of the 21st century.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN COMPUTER AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

Students who are required to take admission in BTech CCE should have passed 12th or equivalent grade with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in physics and mathematics along with chemistry, biology, electronics etc. from a recognised board. Students should also have a valid score of any engineering entrance exams such as AIEEE/ JEE/ COMED-K/ CMRUAT/ CET or any equivalent conducted by a recognised body.

After successfully completing B Tech in CCE, candidates can pursue further studies like M Tech and PhD in this field. Those seeking a job after graduation can grab an opportunity for the designation of Data analyst, network engineer, IT controller, routine manager, protocol developer, data communication engineer, IT-admin, network admin, and telecom manager in companies.
