The course gives the candidates a detailed knowledge on how certain processes are performed in order to get the best results. It included ways to improve the process of preservation, conservation and processing of the food items.

Students are taught with various quality procedures which are used to detect the contamination, adulteration and controlling of the nutritional value of the food items. Central Food Technology Research Institute, National Dairy Research Institute, University of Delhi, University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Mysore, Mahatma Gandhi University, Manipur University, University of Madras, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur are some of the top engineering institutes in India offering Food Processing course.

How to Join

One who wants to join Signal Processing should pass the qualifying examination with an aggregate score of 60-75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. After completing the same, the student has to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE - Main) to get admission into one of the top colleges or universities in India.

Most of the engineering colleges in India offer admission to students based on the JEE Main examination. It is a national level entrance examination done by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the national level apex authority responsible for the regulation and control of all engineering colleges and courses available in India.
