ABOUT COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING (NETWORK)

The BTech course in Computer Science and Engineering with a Network Security emphasis is designed to satisfy the demands of computer networks with important business needs in terms of security. Students will gain a solid foundation in programming, mathematical reasoning, physics, and circuit design in the first level classes. Secure coding, network security, introduction to cryptography, internet & web programming, online services, authentication and security models, and concepts of web application security are all covered in the second half. Electives, in addition to the basic subjects, allow students to specialise in advanced domains. As a result, the curriculum concentrates on the practical and theoretical aspects of cyber security in various core domains, including network security, vulnerability assessment, information security, and wireless device security. The curriculum focuses on providing students with the information and skills needed to secure LAN/WAN computers, detect and evaluate risks, respond to assaults, and implement security policies, procedures, and standards. All electronics and software companies that produce computing and communication goods have job openings. Computer science engineers work on many projects, from creating individual microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers to designing circuits and writing software to run them. As a result, there is a significant demand for such qualified students.

WHAT IS COMPUTER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (NETWORK)

Computer science and technology (Network) deals with designing, programming, and communicating computing devices such as computers, portable devices, and sensors. Digital design, microcomputer, and high-level and assembly language programming are all aspects of computer systems research. Implementing protocols that allow numerous computers/devices to communicate successfully through a wired or wireless media is known as computer networking. Working with faculty on sophisticated systems and with internationally prominent corporations in this field is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at OSU. Operating systems, computer architecture, advanced computer networking, cryptography, network security, microprocessor system design, energy-efficient VLSI design, VLSI system design, multimedia systems, and digital signal processing are all covered in this course.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (NETWORK)

Candidates must study Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, with English as a necessary language, to be qualified for the course. To be eligible for the JEE exam, candidates must have a minimum of 75 percent aggregate marks at the 10+2 level. The admission to this programme is based on the results of the entrance exam. JEE Main and JEE Advanced, BITSAT, and TNEA are just a few of the top entrance exams for this course. Candidates who meet the entrance exam cutoff marks are offered admission to the degree through online counselling. Through counselling, they can get admission to the best colleges. The demand for security professionals in the private, public, and government sectors is always increasing. Today's security difficulties are numerous, and professionals must possess a thorough understanding of business and management issues, as well as strong interpersonal skills and a thorough understanding of computing and networking technology. After graduation, students have the option of continuing their education or pursuing a career in the industry. Several prominent organisations are looking for persons with specific security capabilities. Firewall Specialist, Security Engineer, Forensics Specialist, Wireless Security Expert, and Network Engineer are all possibilities.
