  • 8 Colleges

Telecommunication is a commonly used system. Every person owns a phone and can communicate over a distance. All this is possible with the advancement of technology. Telecommunication engineers are responsible for the advancement in this field.

About Telecommunication Engineering

Communication is an essential aspect of our life. We communicate every day through our words called verbal communication or through gestures called non-verbal communication. But here is a catch we can share from a certain distance. In contrast, telecommunication makes it possible to communicate over a large distance without any worry or hassle. Telecommunication means communicating from a large distance with the help of technology. Video calls, voice calls, and messages are examples of telecommunication. So all this needs production, designing, and management, here the telecommunication engineers come into the picture. Telecommunication engineers make it possible for us to contact abruptly. They work on the designing of new systems and devices which make communication easy. Telecommunication engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with the concept of communication. Engineers build new algorithms and machines to improve the efficiency of communication.

What is Telecommunication Engineering?

Telecommunication is a commonly used system. Every person owns a phone and can communicate over a distance. All this is possible with the advancement of technology. Telecommunication engineers are responsible for the advancement in this field. As the population continuously increases, and so are the people's demands, the need for advanced communication is also growing. To fulfil that demand, telecommunication engineers are required at a large scale. Recently, Alon Musk introduced a new system called "Neuralink" this device is currently in testing and will be available in a few years. This device will allow us to access the technology with just our thoughts. We will be able to communicate without phones. This course will teach the students about the concept and practicality of telecommunication. The course is designed by the makes so that it will deliver the information to the students with ease. Students will be able to create new devices and algorithms to improve the existing telecommunication. The course equips the students with knowledge of telecommunication, integrated circuits, and machine learning. This will also enable the students to create new innovative ideas. This course offers practical knowledge of existing telecommunication. The system also offers the real-life experience of the production and utility of these devices. It will also uncover the concepts used in telecommunication.

Eligibility and Careers in Telecommunication Engineering

Telecommunication is a growing industry. There are lots of sectors that use telecommunication to fix their affairs. If there is demand, then there must be adequate supply. Skilful telecommunication engineers can only fulfil this demand. To dig deep in this field, one must have a 10+2 Class education from any recognized institution or board. There are several postgraduate and PhD programs offered by various IITs, NITs, and other prestigious colleges. The undergraduate degree offered by the colleges might last for four years. Postgraduation courses will last two years, and PhD in IITs, NITs, and other prestigious colleges often last 3+ years.
