Power Electronics and Drives

Power Electronics and Drives course help to provide an up to date introduction on power electronics and a dynamic course in power electronics and drives and its related applications. This course combines conventional technologies with state of the art technologies such as electronics, power semiconductor devices, digital signal processors, electromagnetic, EMC, control theory, and energy technology.

In this course, students learn themes for the study in power electronics and drives and get an in-depth understanding of power electronics and drives. Candidates may also learn power electronics technologies and scientific discipline involved in this study and by means of electric machines and power electronic converters. M.E. Power Electronics and Drives course also provide the knowledge to enable modeling, design, synthesis, and simulation of the power converter.

How to Join

One who wants to join Applied Electronics should pass the qualifying examination with an aggregate score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. After completing the same, the student has to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE - Main) to get admission into one of the top colleges or universities in India.

Most of the engineering colleges in India offer admission to students based on the JEE Main examination. It is a national level entrance examination done by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the national level apex authority responsible for the regulation and control of all engineering colleges and courses available in India. AICTE is the statutory authority responsible for proper planning and coordination on the development of the technical education system in India.
