Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate degree program which deals with all the areas of electrical and electronics engineering. The course mainly deals with circuits, machines, power systems, instrumentation, microprocessors and microcontrollers, industrial automation and communication, signal processing, analogue and digital electronics, etc. The EEE course includes all the processes responsible for generating, transferring, conversion of electric power and also with the transmission of information using radio signals.
The main objective of the course is to make the candidate more productive and professionally innovate in the electronics and electrical industry. Students who are having an interest in physics and Mathematics including algebra, trigonometry and calculus will benefit from studying electrical and electronics engineering course.
Those who are good with designing, construction, operation and maintenance of electronics and electrical devices and components are the best suit for this course. Students who opt for Electrical and Electronics Engineering course are required to have good analytical skills, attention and ability to work as part of a team and good communication skills.
One who wants to join Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) should pass the qualifying examination with an aggregate score of 50% in physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. After completing the same, the student has to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE - Main) to get admission into one of the top college or universities in India.
Most of the engineering colleges in India offer admission to students based on the JEE Main examination. It is a national level entrance examination done by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India.
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the national level apex authority responsible for the regulation and control of all engineering colleges and courses available in India. AICTE is the statutory authority responsible for proper planning and coordination on the development of the technical education system in India.
Students who successfully complete the course are eligible to work in a wide range of fields such a measuring, electro-medical, control instruments manufacturing, research and development in physical engineering and life sciences, telecommunications, etc. industries such as automotive, robotics, aerospace, power, appliances manufacturing, etc. required a fair number of Electrical and Electronics Engineers each year. Candidates can also join research organisation to become a part of the booming sector after completing a post-graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
