The course involves the concepts and processes of the application of power integrated circuit technology and integrated passive technology towards the development of advanced power management converters for battery-powered, handheld, or laptop power management applications. The course is about the employment of cutting-edge technology to Power System Investigation, Strength Assessment, Quality, and such.

Electrical Power System

The course aims to produce skilled and trained personnel who can be gainfully employed in creating, building, operating, testing, and controlling electronic converters and drives in research facilities.

It has been designed to impart advanced learning to eligible candidates in configuration, display, reenactment, and combination of energy converter-based frameworks utilized for the transformation of electricity.

Ideally, candidates applying for the course would have an imaginative, innovative approach, besides an interest in, and aptitude for the Material Sciences.

How to Join

One who wants to join Applied Electronics should pass the qualifying examination with an aggregate score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. After completing the same, the student has to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE - Main) to get admission into one of the top colleges or universities in India.

Most of the engineering colleges in India offer admission to students based on the JEE Main examination. It is a national level entrance examination done by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the national level apex authority responsible for the regulation and control of all engineering colleges and courses available in India. AICTE is the statutory authority responsible for proper planning and coordination on the development of the technical education system in India.

Career Prospects

Government organizations, enterprises, and departments such as the Indian Railways, BHEL, Indian Armed Forces, BSNL, HAL, State Electricity Boards, Hydroelectric Power Plants, DRDO, Thermal Power Plants etc. are the prime employers of postgraduates of the discipline.
