Space Technology covers the topics of cosmology, stellar science, astrophysics, planetary science, astronomy, to name a few. Space Technology is studying about what is beyond the Earth and related to the objects entering the earth from the space.

Space Technology

The objective of this course is learning about the satellite navigation system and taking care of the remote areas of a planet which we cannot see from earth. It is used for measurement of the ozone layer which protects the earth from the ultra violet rays of the sun. Space engineers with space technology can detect which part of the ozone layer is depleting.

How to Join

One who wants to join Applied Electronics should pass the qualifying examination with an aggregate score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. After completing the same, the student has to appear for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE - Main) to get admission into one of the top colleges or universities in India.

Most of the engineering colleges in India offer admission to students based on the JEE Main examination. It is a national level entrance examination done by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the national level apex authority responsible for the regulation and control of all engineering colleges and courses available in India. AICTE is the statutory authority responsible for proper planning and coordination on the development of the technical education system in India.

Career Prospects

Space technology students have a very bright future and have lots of job opportunities after graduation. Space technology is not only limited to the discovery of new planet but space engineers can also work as a teacher in a university, space scientist, member of educational committees, issue papers etc. They can also be employed in software, space laboratories, space agencies and science museums. They can work in other areas like space tourism operators, spacecraft manufacturing firms, military operations, R&D centers, spacecraft software developing firms and repair and maintenance workshops.
