This polytechnic was started by late Sri Raja Rameshwar Rao of Wanaparthy and inaugurated by our honorable first Prime Minister of India Sri PANDIT JAWAHAR LAL NEHRU on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashimi on 11TH OCTOBER 1959.
