Government Engineering College, Talakal was approved in 2014 by Government of Karnataka to be established at Talakal, District: Koppal, Karnataka, with the sole intention of imparting technical education to the rural mass and down trodden to elevate the life standards. It is administered by the Director of Technical Education, Bangalore, and will be affiliated with VTU Belagavi.
