Overview

The origin of North Calcutta Polytechnic was Donbosco Polytechnic that started in the Year 1963 as a State Govt. sponsored Polytechnic, Salesian Society of Northern India with their office at Don Bosco School, Calcutta, purchased 22 bighas of land at 15, Gobinda Mondal Lane, Cossipore, Calcutta with an idea to run a polytechnic. Sri A.C.Sen, the Chief Inspector of Technical Education, Govt. of West Bengal came forward to encourage the idea and approved the plan in the year 1960-61. Green signal
